As more and more information is being revealed about the utter lack of disclosure, providing false data from clinical trails and paying physicians to write false science reports on their drugs, the FDA is considering bring criminal charges against executives in these companies. Let’s hope this happens.
I was stunned about two months ago when the Mayo Clinic Issued a statement indicating they supported the use of psychiatric drugs during pregnancy amid all the information that is being revealed about the birth defects being caused by these drugs.
What pregnant women need to understand is you can treat depression during pregnancy safely with acupuncture. If you are experiencing Postpartum Depression you should call one of the compounding pharmacies that are treating women with bioidentical hormones for this hormone driven condition. The links for the compounding pharmacies I recommend are listed in my links.
Understanding the effect that hormone imbalance has on women’s health and the more than 35 symptoms that have been identified as being associated with the imbalance of hormones has come about as the baby boomers have sought out help for the symptoms associated with menopause. This have brought a new understanding to a time in a women’s life which in past generations lead to the misdiagnosis of mental illnesses and institutionalization of women in this age group. Thanks to those of us who have championed this wakening it’s now time to bring this awareness to pregnancy which is the time in a women’s life where the hormone changes that occur allow us to grow life in our wombs.
One must understand that it takes a great deal to change the thinking of a medical community. We as women are still not being recognized for the uniqueness in our endocrine systems and the need for doctors to treat the individual symptoms we each experience when our hormones are imbalanced.
There are physician who are leading these most essential changes in thinking who can be found through the referrals that you will receive from the compounding pharmacies that are spread throughout the country.
I am not certain how it is my psychiatrist back in 1981 knew about the birth defects that were being caused by these drugs and some how that understanding got lost along the way.
There is this notion that somehow it’s better to go through a pregnancy taking psychiatric drugs that can lead to birth defects of your baby and even death than to be educated on the safest ways to deal with depression during pregnancy and following pregnancy.
I am an advocate of baseline hormone levels to be used as a first line diagnostic tool by every physician in this country and bring awareness for reform in the mental health community in treating trauma which puts women at risk of experiencing Postpartum
There are many similar symptoms for many conditions. It’s time we started looking at the symptoms caused by hormones imbalances and those that are the pioneers of bring forth a new understanding of the symptoms of trauma.
Medicine in evolutionary and it’s time for change in the perception of Postpartum that will prevent the untimely deaths of young women and their babies.
Since I believe everything happens for a reason, there is no mistake that I am finding sites where young women are sharing their stories and journey’s of healing from these unthinkable crimes.
I have written on this topic several times in my effort to bring awareness to this topic. I have spoken to many young women who have shared with me after telling them about my advocacy that they were victims of incest.
It breaks my heart that women who have suffered through this unthinkable crime come into their childbearing with nothing more than wanting to have their babies and then are unaware that this kind of abuse shows up during and following childbirth without ever knowing that this is what has lead to their depression and psychosis.
One thing I want to make very clear. Psychologist and Psychiatrist are trained to believe that mental illness is real. These fields are based on theories that are from the dark ages and are beginning to change.
Until recent years there was no research done on the effect that hormones have on women’s brains in this country. Psychiatry was established in the 1800’s and endocrinology did not become and recognized science until the early 1950’s. I have give a speech on this topic where I indicate the cart was put before the horse.
Medicine is an evolutionary science. What we knew yesterday can change today. It’s a trail and error field with many conditions that have very similar and same symptoms.
Postpartum Depression and Psychosis are conditions that driven by the changes of hormones that occur during pregnancy and following. Women who are at the highest risk have trauma in their backgrounds. These are facts supported by scientific research not on theories that come out of psychology and psychiatry.
During my research I have found some of the most ridiculous theories I could ever imagine anyone coming up with. This is what happens when psychologist, psychiatrist and medical professionals learn from textbooks and have never had a personal experience.
My understanding of these conditions comes from my personal experiences, spending years doing research and returning to college to write about my research.
There was a time when a premature baby had not chance of living. A time when if one had a heart attack you would die. Medicine is evolutionary. It’s time for a giant leap forward in the understanding of who we are as women and for them to stop using the excuse that because our hormones change it’s difficult to do the research.
We are women are uniquely different in the way our endocrine system’s work. We have been treated like cattle for too long. We have suffered greatly as the research that should have been done on us was done on Men, Monkey and Mice. I, for one, am tired to being compared to a rat.
I have posted several new links to sites on recovering from sexual abuse where you can get support, understanding and being the healing process.
I would highly recommend you read the book Brain Sex. It was written by a PhD in genetics in the UK back in the early 1990’s. It is one of the most fascinating books I have read and considering I have read proximately 500 books in the past six years that is saying a great deal.
My love and support goes out to each and everyone of you as together we can cause a shift in thinking so young women get the real help they need.
The understanding of birth trauma is an emerging new field. This misunderstood condition which caused Brooke Shields misguided support of the Melody Stokes Mother Act which was based on false information. As more and more information comes out about the lack of disclosure the pharmaceutical companies have been involved in with by intentionally marketing drugs they are well aware of that will cause harm and death, it’s unforgivable that they would withhold information that would lead to birth defects and death in babies of mother’s how [...]
After spending ten years doing extensive independent research on the cause of Postpartum Depression and Psychosis and returning to college in January where I wrote a research paper on the primary and secondary cause of these conditions that I have been sharing with top medical professional outside of psychiatry, I have always tried to understand [...]
This is the kind of story that breaks my heart but I am going to share it and I have encouraged the young women in this short story to be strong and honor her baby boy by sharing her story so that other young women do not go through the suffering, heartache and guilt she [...]
Due to the post I did a while back, I have had people contacting me to ask questions about whether or not to have shock treatments. My answer is absolutely NO.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned in life is one cannot become truly enlightened or an expert in something they have not had [...]
Every day there are reports about the lack of disclosure that has been going on for years by the pharmaceutical companies related to psychiatric drugs. They have known since at least back in the 1970’s that these drugs cause birth defects but you will hear psychiatrist and psychologist continue to say these drugs are safe [...]
There has been a new study done on the benefits of breastfeeding. When I had my son 30 years ago, I was the only women who had a baby in the hospital at that time that chose to breastfeed.
“The health care system has got to be aware that breast-feeding makes a profound [...]
Dr. Robert Scaer is a pioneer in bring awareness to the role trauma plays on human health. In this interview, he speaks at length about the overwhelming importance of the bonding of Mom’s and their babies and how the lack of bond can affect the brain development of your baby.
